Phat Loot Phriday: Abercrombie's Gloves

When we last left our heroes, a goblin nurse had just healed up Lolegolas, whose propensity for a disciplined hair care regimen has left him grumpy. Miranda expressed some annoyance with pop culture references, to which Not Spot only replied "u mad bro?" Not really.

Miranda poked at the fire with a long stick. She kept an eye on the Gilnean the entire time.

"Don't worry," he said. "I promise not to grab it in my teeth and go running away with it."

"I wasn't worried about that," Miranda replied. "That's not how fetch works."

Lolegolas ignored the druid's faint growl as he flipped a map around in his hands. "Getting to Undercity will be easy enough," the blood elf said. "Do we actually have a solid reason to chase Abercrombie that far? He could be anywhere. Mage, and all that."

Throgg grunted. "Feels right, at least."

"At any rate," Lolegolas said. "The real question is how we find him once we get there. Tirisfal is a big place, and we don't exactly have a human-finding compass on hand."

"I have that covered," Miranda said. The young woman reached into her brown sack and pulled a pair of rugged cloth gloves into the air. "Behold, ye mortals: Abercrombie's Gloves."

"How that help?" Throgg asked in his characteristic patois.

"I figured the druid could follow the scent." Miranda tossed the gloves to the Gilnean.

"Really?" the druid asked incredulously. "We're back to dog jokes? All this time, I've been playing the straight man to the comedy duo, and we're back to dog jokes."

"I take the laughs where I can get them," the girl said with a shrug.

The Gilnean flipped the gloves over in his hands. "That's OK," he said. "I actually wore these for ages back when I thought I'd grow up to be a moonkin. They provide a lot of bonus intelligence, especially for where I was as a caster at the time."

"At least it was a reward," Miranda muttered. "Damn druids rolling on cloth."

Lolegolas and Throgg were both blinking at the pair incredulously.

"We're an ensemble now," Miranda insisted. "Get used to sharing the spotlight with the other people."
