One Shots: Building character
This week's One Shots is all about characters -- your characters, to be precise. Kicking it off is One Shots veteran EuchridEucrow, who delivered this sultry pic of his Guild Wars 2 beta character giving the camera... The Look. He wrote us with this lovely bit of description:
Disturbed from a moment of contemplation, she gives you "the look." As her face turns your way, trailing the mist from her breath on the cold air, you find your own breath catching in your lungs. Is it the cold that has frozen your lungs? Her beauty? Or is there something else? Something behind the beauty, a kind of casual, indifferent grace that seems to promise violence? You see a snowflake drift onto the soft black bars of her eyelashes, but she doesn't blink it away. Perhaps it would be a good idea to go inside where it is warm.

EVE Online player Karuk Erengar sent in this shot of his capsuleer, well, walking in stations! He clarifies: "This is a freshly made alt, looking over his Ibis in scale and holographic form before setting off to start combat training."
Massively reader Andrew sent in this next (and remarkably purply) shot of his Ranger, Eera, posing in a lowbie zone in Aion:
Finally, Tupper -- that is, Tupper Waire -- mailed us this traveling shot from Lord of the Rings Online. "As long as I don't stray off the road, I should be OK," says Tupper's player. Wonder why he'd say that?
We've got even more of your character screenshots stockpiled, so look for a sequel in the future. In the meantime, we'd love to do a housing-themed edition of One Shots, but we've got only a few of images of your abodes, so if you play a game with housing, send us a pic!
