WRUP: Far Cry relaxation therapy

WRUP Relax

The location in this image looks quite relaxing. Well, for those of us who don't have the financial flexibility to travel to some serene tropical island, we have another idea: load up a copy of the original Far Cry and find a nice quiet beach. Simply look out on the ocean and listen to the ambient sounds. Just don't wander into the woods or anywhere else on the island.

What's everyone playing this weekend?

  • Alexander Sliwinski (@XanderSliwinski): Still traveling, so it's bouts of Bejeweled 3 when there's time.

  • Ben Gilbert (@RealBenGilbert): I've plumbed Spelunky's snowy depths three times now, only to be ravaged by some bastard or another. Also, there's this big Minecraft update so, ya know. I'm apparently way into old PC games ported to XBLA.

  • David Hinkle (@DaveHinkle): I'm making great progress in Mass Effect 3 and should have that finished this weekend. So many of my virtual pals are dead!

  • JC Fletcher (@jcfletcher): I'll attempt to cram as much Rhythm Thief time in as possible as my house is torn apart in the name of new flooring.

  • Jess Conditt (@JessConditt): Assassin's Creed 3 multiplayer, DmC, Deadlight, Hybrid and Borderlands 2, to name a few.

  • Jordan Mallory (@Jordan_Mallory): The Steam Summer Sale started this week and I've got about fifty or so Genesis classics to get through, so I'm going to be spending more time than is socially acceptable with Ristar and Vectorman.

  • Ludwig Kietzmann (@LudwigK): I'll make some more progress in Spelunky (note my optimism!) and continue to punish myself with the Ultimate Scores on Theatrhythm: Final Fantasy.

  • Mike Schramm (@MikeSchramm): I just came into possession of JC's PSP, so I'm currently trawling through the back catalog, including Patapon, Ys: Oath of Felghana and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.

  • Mike Suszek (@MikeSuszek): I'm on a boat in a remote part of Wisconsin, so no games for me (except I'm diving right back into my Dynasty in NCAA 13 when I get home, I have a seven game winning streak to defend!). I miss my Joystiq staff!

  • Richard Mitchell (@TheRichardM): I am enraptured by The Secret World, insanely tough though its puzzles may be. I'm also planning on Spelunky, Trials Evolution and, yes, more Hero Academy.

  • Steven Wong: I'm browsing through the Steam Summer sale, but haven't settled on anything yet. Maybe I'll get in some Dungeon Defenders this weekend, or Max Payne 3.
