WRUP: It's the final countdown!

Editor's Note: Mr. Gray doesn't know how to read a calendar. There's another week left before the patch!

The new patch is here. You might say that this weekend is the final countdown. (Da da dahhh dahhh.) So when we talked to your intrepid WoW Insider staff, we asked what they most enjoyed about patch 5.1... and what they least enjoyed about patch 5.1. It's a mixed bag, after all.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) I'm not sure what I'm doing this weekend -- likely writing along with working on alts to level the new guild. Best part of 5.1? Easily the lore in the Dominance Offensive/Operation Shieldwall stuff. I loved doing those quests, and they did a fantastic job of keeping the story moving along. Worst part? Well there was that time my guild went splat. We're back together and doing great now, however -- so I guess you could tack that onto the "best" answer as well.

Dan Desmond (@Antigen_) I'm going to be playing the hell out of FTL. Fun little game, though I wish it was on Android/iOS as well as PC.

Patch 5.1 was pretty bland for me, but if I had to choose, I'd say that the best part was the unfolding storyline from the Shieldwall dailies, and the worst part was A Little Patience.

Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb) I'll be doing Operation TRIBUTE in ME3 Multiplayer, running a few Raid Finder raids because I was too sick to do it earlier this week, and my PnP group is hoping to start back up soon.

My favorite part of 5.1 was the new dailies and the storylines they heralded. My least favorite part was how the Wrynn family is sort of starting to overshadow the Alliance PC and everything else about the Alliance.

Joe Perez (@lodurzj) I have plans this weekend to play Artemis: Bridge Simulator with friends. It's a really fun multiplayer co-op game. PC clients can interact with the iOS client, and well, who hasn't wanted to turn their iPad into a starship console?

Favorite part of 5.1 was a Dagger in the Dark scenario. I'm still in love with the reveal, and what it could mean for later on in the expansion. My least favorite, well, that was honestly the other scenario, A Little Patience, I just didn't care for it.

Lisa Poisso (@lisapoisso) I had a busy weekend planned in game and out, but I seem to be fighting off some sort of bug and I think I'm going to cancel everything and hole up in bed with some good books and pot of tea. That's the best thing about not only 5.1 but WoW in general - it's always there when you feel better and get back.

Matthew Rossi (@MatthewWRossi) The best part of patch 5.1 is either that they finally added a daily quest hub with solid storytelling and bearable questing mechanics, or that they finally added a strength/crit epic trinket so I didn't have to use a blue. Runners Up for best include the Commendations that you can buy for factions at revered, the Klaxxi title Awakener, and the new scenarios (I really enjoyed Dagger in the Dark and A Little Patience). The worst part of patch 5.1 was that I was personally pretty sick for a big chunk of it, and so didn't get to enjoy it.

Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) Well, my wife is out of town, so while some husbands may go catcalling, I use these weekends as an excuse to play non-stop video games, eat greasy hamburgers, and talk to the dog only in German. I'm still a week away from when Skyward Sword arrives (I couldn't resist the Super Saver Shipping) so I think I'll be playing WoW all weekend. Probably battle pets, since it's my current obsession.

My favorite part of 5.1 was absolutely the Shieldwall storyline. Made me actually want to do the dailies, rather than just slog through them to eventually hit exalted.

Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) The best part? Hmmm, I think for me the best part about patch 5.1 includes the Patch 5.0 stuff too. Patch 5.1 wasn't really a huge deal for me, it didn't add anything much that I actually found relevant. So, the world, the rares, raid bosses with actual mechanics. The worst? This PvP season has been pretty terrible. And that's an understatement. This weekend, some WoW, trying to get alts to 580, and maybe some LoL. That is one addictive game!

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
