Doodle Jump for Kinect bounds to Xbox Live Arcade next week

D3 Publisher announced that Smoking Gun Interactive's motion-controlled Kinect adaptation of the iOS hit Doodle Jump will launch for Xbox Live Arcade on June 28.

Doodle Jump for Kinect features the same endless, vertically scrolling action that defined the iOS original, but this time, players will have to physically move side-to-side in order to guide the Doodler's ascent. The Kinect version introduces three new worlds not found in other ports, and also offers a selection of all-new power-ups and boss encounters.

Doodle Jump for Kinect will be priced at 400 Microsoft points ($5) when it premieres next Friday.

Doodle Jump Lands on Xbox Live on June 28

Lima Sky and D3Publisher has confirmed that Doodle Jump for Kinect™ is coming to the Xbox Live® online entertainment network for the Xbox 360® games and entertainment system from Microsoft on June 28, 2013. Now, you'll be able to jump onto platforms, blast away baddies and navigate a treacherous vertical ascent in an all new motion controlled Doodle Jump game.

Developed by Smoking Gun Interactive in collaboration with Lima Sky, Doodle Jump for Kinect delivers a fresh, new take on the simple, accessible, tried-and-true action of the original. Players move their bodies left and right to control the Doodler, shoot nose balls with arm gestures, fly with a flap of the arms and more, with other unique body motion controls.

Doodle Jump for Kinect brings exclusive content to Xbox 360 that has never before been seen in the series: three brand-new worlds, treacherous bosses, challenging achievements, engaging power-ups and intuitive gesture controls.

Doodle Jump for Kinect will be available on Xbox Live for 400 Microsoft Points on June 28, 2013. It requires Kinect to play.
