WowStead Guild Hosting services to close down
Guild Hosting service WowStead is closing its doors, in order to change members over to a system that provides a better service. WowStead sent out an email to users this morning informing them of such, and giving them time to transfer over to the GuildLaunch service.
Without having access to any more information it is difficult indeed to postulate about the reasons behind the shift, but nonetheless, if your guild is hosted with WowStead, you will need to think about a new solution. The GuildLaunch transfer site asserts that it will make the move as easy as possible, and honor any payments made, but there are always other options, and maybe this is the time to consider them. There are a huge number of services out there, as a cursory google search will reveal, so choose wisely, or take the transfer option, but whatever you decide, enjoy your new home!

We're here to announce some big changes coming to WowStead in the near future. After careful consideration, we have decided to close down the WowStead guild hosting service and integrate with Guild Launch. We have spent a long time considering options that would give our members the best hosting experience possible and feel that transferring our service to Guild Launch is the best solution.
Guild Launch has been around since 2006 and has a well established presence in the guild hosting space. Both Guild Launch and WowStead will be working with users to make sure this transition will be as smooth as possible.
The official transition date will be 2 weeks from today – August 12th, 2013.
Over the next couple weeks we encourage you to begin making the transition to Guild Launch and setting up your sites. If you are a paying member of WowStead, Guild Launch will be honoring your credits on WowStead with the appropriate premium service levels in their system.
Please choose from the following list of your active WowStead site(s) to begin transferring each to Guild Launch.
