The Queue: BlizzCon, daily quests, gnome heads, and more

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Let's go right to the questions!

mikkelsdk asked:

Considering Blizzard has a lot of things on the table currently (Heartstone, Blizzard All-Stars, Titan, Next WoW Expansion, Diablo 3 xpac and probably SC2 xpac) which of these aren't we going to hear about at Blizzcon? Titan is a given but have Blizzard talking about Heartstone, All-stars, WoW xpac, Diablo 3 xpac and SC2 xpac is kinda of a long shot.

Hearthstone seems to be doing its own thing, independent of Blizzard's standard modus operandi. It's going to be in beta quite soon and if they didn't wait for BlizzCon to announce the game to begin with, it's doubtful that they'll plan a release date around the convention. It's also a simpler game compared to World of Warcraft, StarCraft, and so on, so the number of panels dedicated to it will be limited, I'm sure.

Popular theory is that we'll hear about a Diablo III expansion at Gamescom instead of BlizzCon, but we have no way of confirming that. As for Blizzard All-Stars ... who knows what's going on there.

sergel92 asked:

Is there a daily cap still? I thought in 5.0 it went away, but dailies still count towards my 25 limit for quests (yellow ones included) so I can't take on anymore dailies. I remember in previous expansions dailies were separate from normal quests, but do they count as normal quests now, and go against the 25 limit?

There isn't a cap on how many daily quests you can do in a day, but there is a cap on how many quests can fit in your quest log at any one time. Daily quests have always counted against this limit, no differently than standard quests. You can only ever have 25 at a time. To accept more, you need to complete or abandon some you already have.

jjuls74 asked:

Here's something that's been bothering me for quite a while re: character models. When I started my first character (a gnome), gnomes used to be small. Now you look at them and they are huge. They have giant heads. If a gnome stands next to any other species it's ludicrous. A gnome's hat size would be about 4 times the size of a human's. It could be Alzheimer's starting to kick in on my part, but I swear this is true. I wish I had some old screenshots but my computer has died at least twice since then.

As far as I know, gnomes haven't changed size at all. They've always had enormous heads and other odd proportions, but are small overall. The game also scales up certain things on gnomes moreso than other races. For example, if you put a gnome on a mount next to a human on that same mount, the one the gnome is riding will be much bigger, putting the two at nearly the same height. The gnome isn't any bigger than they were, but their mount makes up the difference.

@Trendane asked:

What sort of drink do you think the different races would have in the morning to make them ready to face their day?

Most of the races would have different varieties of tea, I imagine. It's a pretty standard morning drink! I don't know enough about teas to assign flavors to each race, but I imagine the trolls would find their personal brand just as easily as the humans. The orcs would probably drink one of those teas that use animal excrement as an ingredient.

@ansoga1982 asked:

The other 2 possible classes were Rune Master and Ranger (or Mercenary as I like to call it); do u think we'll see that in 5.4?

In patch 5.4? Definitely not. We might see a new class in the next expansion, but who knows what it will be.
