James Pond investigates Kickstarter comeback

James Pond Kickstarter

Pond, James Pond. The fishy secret agent is set to have a Skyfall-esque existential crisis when the masses are asked to support a comeback Kickstarter next week. Eurogamer reports the crowdfund campaign will kick off on September 20. The financial goal of the campaign has not been announced.

Chris Sorrell, one of the original designers of Pond, made a short video on YouTube announcing the Kickstarter and expressing his uncertainty about whether people cared enough to support a new installment.

The original series included James Pond, James Pond 2: Codename RoboCod and James Pond 3: Operation Starfish. Codename Robocod was the most popular of the school, being re-porpoised to several other platforms during the 90s.

Oh, there was James Pond in the Deathly Shallows in 2011, but discussion of it rarely goes above the volume of a whisper.
