Ragnarok Odyssey Ace to hunt for loot and Porings in early 2014
The cross-platform compatible update to last year's Ragnarok Odyssey will start knocking numbers out of monsters in early 2014 as Ragnarok Odyssey Ace. Both the PS3 and Vita version will cost $39.99 and include all DLC released for the original game, but launch copies of the Vita version will contain extra loot in the form of a 25-song soundtrack.
Ace will construct a new Tower of Yggdrasil dungeon filled with randomly-generated dungeons for players to bash their way through. Ace also carries an "enhanced battle system" as well as new bosses and items. Those that own the vanilla version of Ragnarok Odyssey will be able to bring over their character's "basic physical features." Weapon or monster cards will be transferable, too, as long as they aren't equipped to clothing or previously required via the Vita's Near app.

XSEED Games Releases New Assets and Details for Ragnarok Odyssey ACE
Enhanced, Cross-Platform Version of Popular PlayStation®Vita Action RPG Set for Launch in Early 2014 on PlayStation®Vita and PlayStation®3 system
Torrance, Calif., (October 24, 2013) – XSEED Games, the independent-minded console publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., today released an all-new batch of screenshots for the upcoming PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system title, Ragnarok Odyssey ACE, releasing in early 2014. Both versions of the game will ship for an MSRP of $39.99, but the PS Vita version of the game will ship with a bonus soundtrack CD containing 25 songs with all launch copies.
Additionally, XSEED Games confirmed plans to release additional game content free of charge following the game's launch in North America. Released this week in Japan, the version 1.10 update will be added to the North American version of the game after launch, and adds a host of online features including daily quests, online rankings, log-in bonuses, random card draws which are redeemed by use of special items, and special rare random card draws. These features and more will be incorporated post-launch into the North American version of the game for an enhanced online experience on both PS3™ and PS®Vita.
Ragnarok Odyssey ACE is a new title in the popular Ragnarok Odyssey action RPG franchise that brings players cross-platform play between PS3 and PS Vita as well as rich new content to explore. The game brings a new Tower of Yggdrasil dungeon that creates random dungeons with different rooms and enemy placement, an enhanced battle system with new ACE skills, and a plethora of new bosses, items and features. Players of the original Ragnarok Odyssey will be able to transfer their character's basic physical features such as name, face and job class (but not clothing), as well as weapon and monster cards (cards equipped to clothing or acquired via NEAR will not transfer over). Any additional DLC acquired can also be transferred by re-downloading it from the PlayStation®Store.
Developed by Game Arts, creators of the Grandia and Lunar series, together with GungHo Online Entertainment in Japan, it will be released in North America in early 2014 by XSEED Games, and GungHo Online Entertainment America will publish Ragnarok Odyssey ACE in Europe later in 2014.
