WRUP: What do you think of patch 5.2?

WRUP What do you think of patch 52

Patch 5.2 is really shaping up into something exciting. And frankly, we can't let something like that go by without some deep commentary. So this week on WRUP, we let you know what we really think of patch 5.2 so far.

Spoiler: It's mostly good.

Adam Holisky (@adamholisky) This weekend I'm focusing on my warlock's DPS a bit. I want to try a couple things before I get all uppity about his numbers. I could be wrong with my rotation and gearing, but I doubt I'm that far off... so it's time to crack open the books and see what's up.

I'm really looking to patch 5.2. I think Blizzard is on track for a nice "little big" patch.

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) I have about a million and one different things on my plate this weekend, and games unfortunately aren't really one of those things right now. Bonus answer: Oh man, some of those 5.2 lore spoilers. I don't even know how long Rossi and I were riffing in the newsroom when they came out, but there is tons and tons and tons to think about, story-wise!

Chase Hasbrouck (@alarondruid, @alaronmonk) IN NEW QUARTERS WITH NO POWER STOP SEND ELECTRICITY NOW STOP FIVE POINT TWO LOOKS AMAZING STOP END

Dan Desmond (@Antigen_) I'm on the final mission of Dishonored, so if I don't wrap that up then I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.

I think the thing I'm looking forward to the most is dinosaurs -- everything else pales in comparison.

Joe Perez (@lodurzj) The unpackening continues! This weekends goal is to construct the dinner table that's currently sitting in three pieces, and finish up t he last of the boxes. I also realized how many books I have. After that I will be rewarding myself with valor capping and then constructing my new minis for Warhammer 40k that I picked up.

Bonus: Like Anne and Rossi, I'm really excited about all the new lore that's coming in the next patch. It's all interesting stuff, to be sure, but it looks like it is going to contain a few twists and turns for us, and that excites me.

Matt "Matticus" Low (@matticus) Quiet gaming weekend for me. I may just take a break or something. Nothing entirely new on the PTR that I want to check out and there hasn't been any raid testing scheduled so far. Might go in for some rated battlegrounds action at some point on live but that's it.

I am loving the 5.2 jazz. I feel that it's more of a classic rock as opposed to a jazz. The new Throne of Thunder is dark, spooky, and massive. Ulduar had that feel of stepping into a temple. Throne of Thunder has the sense of stepping into a vast labyrinth. The areas I've seen convey a feeling of dread. As adventurers, we don't even have a clue what kind of trouble we're getting ourselves into. Dinosaurs with cannons? More Mogu? Pandaria's box is about to be opened and all the bad crap is coming out. Expect to find a ray of hope? Hah, fat chance. There ain't none, son. It's just you, your sword, and your friends against an Emperor that needs to remember why he should have stayed dead.

Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) Going to do some dailies this weekend to top off my lesser charms for the week. As well as maybe VP cap, if I'm feeling saucy enough. Outside of WoW, I'll be playing a good amount of Crusader Kings II.

Really excited for the transmog changes in 5.2, and that I'll be able to tank with some of my favorite mace models.

Michael Gray (@writegray) I have a new squishy ball for my Squishy. There will be squishing. Oh yes.

The weekend is the perfect time to kick back, relax and enjoy some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite way to play World of Warcraft, let us know in the comments what you're playing this weekend!
