Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag debut trailer leaks [Update: It's gone!]

Update: In what must surely be a new land-speed record in the art of damage control, the leaked trailer originally embedded above has already been set to private. Meanwhile, Ubisoft has also eradicated the small handful of mirrors that were uploaded to YouTube before the original was pulled.

Come back on Monday, though, and there's a chance you may be able to see the whole thing. In the meantime, we've tucked the once-working embed after the break, in case it somehow comes back.

Original: The (potentially not safe for work) debut trailer for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag has leaked onto the internet like water into the bowels of a poorly-built schooner. As our first look at the new game's setting and characters in motion, the above trailer details the game's hero, Edward Kenway, and all of the various ways in which he is, apparently, even cooler than Blackbeard.

As we learned yesterday, Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag will launch on October 29 and will also be coming to "next-gen consoles."
