The Queue: The most adorable sound in the world

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) used to have a squeaky toy that made that exact noise.

I don't even know how it makes that sound. All I know is that it is the most adorable sound ever.

akionite asked:

Q4tQ: There's something I've always wondered when talk about subscription losses comes up. Does that count players who buy their game time on online store or with time cards? I shut down my renewing subscription a while ago since I just didn't like the idea of being automatically charged each month, and usually play on and off each month or when a new patch comes out.

It's pretty much anyone who has an active account with time on it. Doesn't matter if you use the prepaid cards to pay, or a credit card -- as long as it's an active account, it counts.

Sporggerz asked:

If you could replace the music for one of the cities, which city and what would you change it to?

I'd replace Undercity with something more entertaining, like the familiar strains of Karazhan. ... mostly I just really dig the music in Karazhan, to be perfectly honest!

thekaiserchiefs asked:

Q4TQ: I've recently started playing Horde toons to do their questing and see their lore first hand. I've gained a fascination for the goblins throughout Azeroth and I came to a question, what are a goblins religious views? I know goblins can be priest and several npcs from the starting zone to areas in the revamped zones and beyond mention the Light, thanking it and such for allowing them to survive various tragedies.

That's actually an interesting question, but not for the reason you'd think: Azeroth doesn't really have major religions. There's a bit of god worship here and there (Elune and her priestesses being the most famous, of course), but the Light, and the worship of the Light, isn't exactly a religious thing. The Light is more of a philosophy than a true religion -- yes, there is a church, yes, there are priests and paladins, but it's more about the philosophy of the Light and the teachings of the Light than it is viewing the Light as a deity of any kind.

That said, what are goblins religious views? Well, they pretty religiously attempt to get as much coin in their pockets as they can, one way or another. I don't really think goblins practice a religion out of any kind of reverence -- it's mostly because it's another one of those things that can be exploited for profit. And goblins do love a good amount of profit!

Nyold asked:

Re: that ground breaking feature that they said they haven't announced yet and was scheduled to go live in ths expansion, do we have any more information on that?

Last we heard, it had something to do with older content, if I remember correctly. But that's all we've really heard on the matter -- whatever it is, it doesn't appear to be coming in patch 5.3.

goatsofwrath asked:

Q4Q If night elves and Blood elves are the same race, are blood elves inbred Night elves?

No. We don't really know the exact numbers of how many kaldorei were exiled to the Eastern Kingdoms, but it was more than enough to start a society anew. The blood elves -- or high elves, as they were when they were exiled -- basically had a dramatic shift in appearance due to being so far away from Nordrassil. It's just one of those racial shifts -- like how people from different countries and areas of the world have different physical characteristics. Think of it that way.

BlazeNor asked:

I asked a question a while ago about the odds of WoW increasing the monthly fee to play and the response from you and others were about the same stating how it would be self defeating.I would like to take it in the other direction and ask, What are the odds of WoW becoming Free-To-Play within the next 5 years giving the increase of competitive MMOs?

I believe it's been stated before that the only way they would go free to play is if it made feasible sense to do so. At this point in time, the subscription model is still working incredibly well for them -- and if it isn't broken, you needn't bother fixing it, you know?
