The Queue: Get Lucky, KK

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Mike Sacco will be your host today.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf comes out tomorrow! In celebration, let's jam with KK Slider and Daft Punk.

RikOsborne asked:

Can someone tell me what's going on with that big Horde excavation right in front of the Shrine of Seven Stars? I have four Alliance level 90s, but I haven't found a damn thing in-game to tell me what's going on there.

I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll tell you this instead -- play the Dark Heart of Pandaria scenario! It's all covered in there.

Puntable1 asked:

Flex raid tin-foil-hat time! This will allow guilds to let everyone raid, and no longer will anyone be "benched". But wait. Let's assume the boss's health scales according to number of players in the raid (like world rares do). Some theorycrafter will "do the math" and proclaim that if you don't do more than X amount of DPS, then your DPS does not off-set the boss's increase in health, and you are slowing down the raid. This will create a new "minimum acceptable DPS" to raid. What do you think?

There's a minimum acceptable DPS in LFR, too; I'm not really concerned about it. The ideal setup, which I'm sure Blizzard is aiming for, is that the raid difficulty is more or less the same no matter how many members you add. Bringing in an undergeared person might make the fight slightly harder for others, but I don't think the impact is enough to merit ideal group size debates. Then again, the WoW community.

dreamweaver7x asked:

Flexible raids are still gonna be of limited utility unless they adjust it to scale down to raid sizes of 5 to 8 toons. 5 man raiding is the future of WoW.

I don't know about you, but I don't want to play raid encounters that were designed so 5 people could play them. The types of fights we see in heroics are already stretching what you can do with only one tank and one healer. Having raid encounters designed around that group size is a bad, bad idea. Please leave us some complexity.

AndrewRoss asked:

Will Blizzard ever allow us to have all of our characters on one server like they talked about at one point? I know they gave us the 11th slot of the Monk or another character. Is there a chance we will ever see this? I would really like to have all my Alliance and Horde characters on the same server.

This is something Blizzard has talked about -- just making it so you can have 50 characters total across all servers instead of 10 per server -- but there's been no talk of moving forward with it. Maybe it's one of those other surprise features coming in 5.4! Maybe.
