During its Gamescom press event yesterday, Sony announced the upcoming release of BigFest, a music festival simulation game for the PlayStation Vita.

Created by Sheffield-based independent developer On The Metal, BigFest is a Theme Park-like management sim that challenges players to design and promote an outdoor music festival. Player duties include venue arrangement, event promotion, and contract negotiation with real-world unsigned artists. The trailer above showcases a number of featured acts, all of which lend their music to BigFest's soundtrack and browsable online song catalog.
