WRUP: Horseman rise!
It's that time again, when the addled, poetry-filled monster rises from the depths of the grave to taunt us lucky and unlucky alike with dreams of mounts. In the meantime, though, your intrepid WoW Insider staff will keep playing games and making the best of a bad situation. Take a trip with us and tell us what you're playing this weekend!

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) I'm going to be embarking on the always thrilling and exciting annual "Let's kill the Headless Horseman every day and watch how he never, ever, ever drops a mount" quest. I hate Hallow's End. Maybe this year he'll be benevolent. Other than that, not much to be doing except catching up on more reading. Heroes of the Storm -- it looks like a ridiculously silly and fun game, but I'm notoriously not really very good at PvP type situations. If there's a single-player version I'd be happy enough to fiddle around with that, I imagine. I'm still looking forward to hearing more about it at BlizzCon. On top of that, Heroes of the Storm obviously isn't the new WoW expansion, which means we're still in the dark, which means surprises to be had at the opening ceremonies, which makes me even more excited for the event!
Dan Desmond (@Antigen_) Aside from raids, I'm not sure I'll do much gaming outside of testing a few things for a side project I'm working on.
Like Hearthstone, I'll likely play Heroes of the Storm for a bit but ultimately set it down and fall back to WoW. I will probably play Hearthstone more in total, actually, because I really don't like MOBAs.
Daniel Whitcomb (@danielwhitcomb) I'm back into ME3 in a big way. Right now I'm playing one of my femsheps. She's romancing Sam Traynor. I'm also doing my Hearthstone quests again. Still hate the class-based ones. On the bonus. I'll probably try it, but I'm not incredibly enthused, per se. That genre has never gripped me. If he's a hero, I'd play as Tyrael, I think.
Joe Perez (@lodurzj) More painting, almost done with a new unit of Trollbloods for another competition. More alt leveling, I think it's going to be all about my paladin this weekend.
As far as Heroes of the Storm, well, I'm actually more excited about that than I am Hearthstone. I'm a big MOBA style game fan, and I'm looking VERY forward to seeing how Blizzard brings this one to the table. I honestly can't wait.
Lisa Poisso (@lisapoisso) Super Mario 64 on the original device - because sometimes you find cool stuff in the closet. Bonus question: Did you see where they positioned the Heroes of the Storm area on the BlizzCon convention floor? My anticipatory thought is a traffic jam of curious players.
Matt "Matticus" Low (@matticus) Have a Hearthstone tournament lined up this weekend. Wish me luck! Otherwise, it'll be a quieter weekend for me. Maybe I'll catch up on some additional reading somewhere. In WoW, it'll be all about the flex! No desire to level new characters but I just finished my third legendary cloak this weekend. Time to finish the fourth and get it on my tank!
Matthew Rossi (@MatthewWRossi) It's my wife's birthday this Saturday, so we'll be doing stuff together.
It's cool that we know Heroes of the Storm is the better name for Blizzard DOTA/All Stars, as both those names were terrible, but I'm still much more interested in next expansion.
Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) I ordered Pokemon Y, so to be somewhat of a responsible adult, I really need to beat Wind Waker HD before my new game arrives. Also: challenge modes, only three golds to go!
As for Heroes of the Storm, I really can't say I care about it much. I'm not a big MOBA fan, just not my genre. I'm sure it'll be great, though.
Olivia Grace (@oliviadgrace) I'm not going to be playing much at all, it's my last weekend in California before I go home for two weeks, move house, then come back for Blizzcon! So there'll be stuff happening
Robin Torres (@cosmiclaurel) I'll be taking my army of leveling alts through the Hallow's End festivities. Bonus: I'm hoping that people will be able to play HotS at BlizzCon, though I don't think they are that far along in its development.
Sarah Pine (@ilaniel) I HOPE to be playing WoW, but if you happened to catch any of my computer-building fiasco on twitter over the past few days, there's a chance that said computer won't be up and running until next week, alas. Otherwise I've got a stack of PS1 games that haven't been touched in years.
Bonus: I certainly hope they have some playable demos at BlizzCon, but who knows! The animation was adorable, I hope the whole game has just as much charm.
