WRUP: Richie called it edition
Let's just own this, all right? Amidst all the other talk about World of Warcraft over the next couple of days, I feel it's important to note that Richie Procopio totally called one of the major features. He was one hundred percent correct. Housing is coming to the game, long after everyone (including me) had more or less given the very concept up for dead in Azeroth. So Richie is apparently psychic. I'm not saying he knows what's going to happen next, but I am saying that you should probably listen to him if he says to stay home next week.
What's that? Oh, yes, it's WRUP all over again, I almost forgot. You know how that goes, we let you know what we're going to be up to over the weekend, then you let us know what you'll be doing down in the comments. This is exactly when you'd expect this to come around.
@ceruleangrey: This weekend I'll probably mostly be hanging out in The Secret World, with a dash of Guild Wars 2 and Final Fantasy XIV on the side. I can't wait to get to the evil amusement park, face all my deepest fears, and never sleep again! That's the magic of video games, kids.
@nbrianna: For me, mostly likely a dash of Path of Exile and a pinch of a thing I can't talk about. No small amount of willpower will be required to keep me away from subbing to World of Warcraft this weekend. BlizzCon ropes me back in every time.
@Eliot_Lefebvre: There's a very important discussion going on in my house, the most important one that has yet taken place in our marriage, one that will have a big impact on our future. We're deciding if we're going back to WoW or not. Aside from that, there's roleplaying and play in Final Fantasy XIV to be had!
@irljasmine: Most of my gaming is going to consist of whatever demos I snag at BlizzCon and then a side of Tiny Death Star on my phone while I participate in the ancient convention tradition of standing in lines. There might be an extra side of Tiny Death Star in there while I participate in another ancient tradition, absurd Southern California traffic.
@jefreahard: I'm still bashing my way through Arkham Origins. Or should I say crashing my way through, because good job Warner Bros. PC team! Replaying Mass Effect also since it was like a nickel on Steam a few weeks back. MMO-wise I'll get some DC Universe Online in before the weekend is out.
@Sypster: It's Issue 8 week for The Secret World, so that's where you will probably find me. I'm also cavorting with a Trickster Rogue in Neverwinter, and I need to log into Lord of the Rings Online to clean up my Captain's inventory in preparation for the expansion.
@MikedotFoster: So. Much. Dota 2. And probably a fair helping of Battlefield 4.
@RichieProcopio: Hearthstone is so much fun. It's really sucked me in. It's got so much polish and it's easy to jump in for a few games when you have an extra 20 minutes here or there. So this weekend I'll be playing Hearthstone with some Guild Wars 2 for good measure as we get ready for the Nightmares Within patch.
