And on to today's business: WoW players were cool to one another at BlizzCon this year -- but hey hey hey, so were the ones who weren't there, too!
Caught being uber: Dotup, Cenarius (US-Alliance) After a relatively clean run through wing three of SoO on LFR (it was my first time tanking in there), Dotup sent me a whisper giving me some advice for the next time we fought, saying what would make life a lot easier on the whole group. I just wanted to give a shout-out and say thanks for taking the time to help me do my job right! :D -- Anonymous LFR Tank
Caught being uber: Unknown member of <Icon> (US-Alliance) This happened to a guildmate the other day. He ended up running into a new player out in the world and gave him a few hundred gold to get him started. Later that day, he received an in-game mail with 5,000 gold and a note: "Thanks for helping my son. It cheers me up to know there are people out there who repay kindness with kindness." He returned the gold and told us the story. -- Anonymous member of <Icon> (US-Alliance)
[Editor's note: I guess tauren don't really get night elf gender differences, do they?]
Caught being uber: Shamhazi, Windypants and Darkleton, Khaz'goroth (US-Alliance) Today I reached the Change of Command part of the legendary cloak chain. My guild is inactive, so I was a bit worried as to how I was going to complete this part.
I put out a call on the Khaz'goroth server and within minutes had three people whisper and say they would help. A big thank you to Shamhazi [Editor's note: We didn't find a Shamhazi there, but maybe the player name will be recognizable] , Windypants and Darkleton, who came to my aid and in no time flat had killed Warlord Bloodhilt. They heartily congratulated me and went on their way. Their kindness was amazing. -- Shettra
Send us your tales of awesome deeds
It's those times another player lights up your night with precise play, a wicked sense of humor, or unexpected generosity that you're a night spent in Azeroth becomes something to remember. Looking for a place to feel good about humanity again? You've come to the right place: WoW Insider's Random Acts of Uberness.
Send us your kudos and shout-outs for players who made your day! We know you can't always remember everyone's names or realms, and that's OK. Tell us what you do remember: what day of the week it was, what time of day, your own home realm, any details you recall about the other player, where you were and what you were doing in game. If the players involved read WoW Insider, we're betting they'll recognize your story!
Email your Random Acts of Uberness to firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to include your character's name, realm and faction if you'd like that to be published.
Until next week -- be excellent to each other!
