The Queue: Oh, so that's what sleep feels like

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) is your host for zzzzzzz...

I think I slept for 12 hours last night. I'm not really sure. Taking a road trip to BlizzCon seems to take a lot out of a person. Thankfully, I was curled up in bed, not suspended awkwardly over a bowl of water while people filmed me dozing. Oh that's right, questions!

Devin asked:

How many times will we see "when will WoD be released?" in The Queue in lieu of better questions (read: all of MY questions)?

Well, you just added a +1 to that list, so ...

obeygiant559 asked:

OFTQ: If this all takes place before the 1st war then Illidan would still be locked up, heck Humans didn't even know about the Night Elf's yet. So would brining Illidan in to the story at some point be impossible with out changing the Current time, in this "this is not a time travel/parradox expansion?

As much as people have said they'd like to see Illidan return, and as much as people may have mentioned they'd like to bring Illidan back, I don't really see this as the expansion for it. Keep in mind that they plan these expansions really, really far in advance -- and they may have been working on Warlords already at the point that they said Illidan returning would be cool. So maybe we'll see him, but personally? I don't think it's going to be in this expansion.

Sainthubbins asked:

Is it possible that Archimonde could still be around in this new timeline? I'm betting that he Legion will have some sort of presence on Draenor, whether from the start or with a patch.

This whole "new timeline" business is so weird. Technically, yes, Archimonde wouldn't be dead at that point in time. However, he had nothing to do with Draenor -- that was Kil'jaeden's baby. Will we see Kil'jaeden? I'm going to say that is a distinct possibility, given his involvement with the orcs and what exactly Garrosh stopped from happening.

Puntable1 asked:

A lot of players use daily quests as a means to get gold. If there will be very few daily quests in Draenor, will there be more characters that can't afford to even repair? We see this already happening on the Timeless Isle.

I suspect that our garrisons will be incredibly useful in this process. I don't think Blizzard has forgotten that gold is a commodity that players need in order to properly play, and I don't think they'd remove dailies -- which were an amazing source of income -- and not put something into play that would replace that aspect of the game.

StarcallerGogor commented:

For what it's worth, I feel bad for Dave Kosak if he did actually just blurt it out by accident. They got a lot of flak for bringing out the Garrosh thing too early for MoP, and I have a feeling they were trying to avoid it this time around.

If there is one thing I have learned from Mists of Pandaria, it is to never trust anything that comes out of the mouth of Kosak as absolute truth. The man very much likes keeping secrets! I don't think Chilton would make that kind of mistake, either. My bet is that they're just using that as a safe answer -- but then I could always be wrong!

Joe32 asked:

If reforging does go away in WoD, what do you think would be appropriate for Blizzard to do with the Grand Expedition Yak mount?

I'd like to see a transmogrification guy as a replacement. But then, I'm really into transmogrification, so I'd be happy with it -- there are others who just wouldn't care. What do you guys want to see?
