Aliens are no match for Lebron and Kobe in iOS endless runner NBA Rush
Renren Games launched a quirky, licensed free-to-play basketball game on iOS this week called NBA Rush. The game is an endless runner in the same vein as Temple Run in which players dodge obstacles with one of 90 real-life NBA players like Lebron James, Kobe Bryant and Blake Griffin, jamming their way through pesky aliens.
The brightly-colored game includes a number of power-ups like "space jump," and each athlete has a special ability that can be "tagged in" while one dribbles endlessly, dunking all over the UFO-riding creatures from other planets. If there's anything Space Jam has taught us, it's that aliens and basketball don't mix.

Renren Games Launches "NBA Rush"
The First NBA Endless Runner Mobile Game
SAN FRANCISCO – January 16, 2014 – Renren Games, a subsidiary of Renren Inc. (NYSE: RENN), has unveiled NBA Rush, the first NBA endless runner mobile game. The new game, available free to download on iOS, features NBA players competing against alien invaders.
In NBA Rush, gamers assemble their own all-star team by choosing select NBA players from 30 NBA teams. To win, NBA players must weave through city streets, parks, tunnels, buses, cars and alien ships, while throwing down massive dunks on aliens.
NBA Rush incorporates all of the fun gameplay elements that define the endless runner genre with a basketball spin. To change directions, NBA players execute crossover, behind-the-back and through-the-legs dribble moves. When juking left and right doesn't get a player through the alien defense, the NBA players' hops will save the day.
"In designing NBA Rush, our goal was to highlight the incredible athletic skills of NBA stars by portraying them as superheroes who will save the earth from an alien invasion," explains Martin Ma, Vice President of Strategy & Investment, Renren Games. NBA Rush will be free to download on the Apple App Store and will have in-game purchases to enhance gameplay.
