Assassin's Creed 4 PS4 patch fixes 100 friends bug

A 2.3GB patch issued this week for the PlayStation 4 version of Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag fixes a long-standing bug related to large friend lists, restoring in-game content for affected players.

Previously, players who had more than 100 friends listed on the PlayStation Network were locked out of the Kenway's Fleet naval combat minigame and other single-player content due to a connection error with Ubisoft's uPlay service. The patch also addresses rare freezes and crashes, tweaks combat balance, and fixes bugs affecting loyalty reward skins and Abstergo challenges.

A multiplatform title update for Assassin's Creed 4 is also set to launch today, fixing a variety of gameplay, sound, and multiplayer issues across the PlayStation 3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC versions of the game.
