The Queue: Blast of Baja

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Alex Ziebart will be your host today.

Forgive me for being a stereotype but holy crap Baja Blast is probably being released in bottles this year. Taco Bell's decade of tyranny is coming to an end.

HemttTanker asked:

Are they having a Blizcon this year? And if so, might the delay in releasing any new WoW content be so they have stuff to talk about during the event?

Signs point to yes, but we don't know for sure. Blizzard mentioned the possibility at BlizzCon 2013 and the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket page was recently updated to say 2014 rather than 2013, but that might have been done as a precautionary measure of some variety. Legal matters are always far, far more complex than they have any right to be.

We just don't know.

TgrHwke asked:

When you enter play mode in Hearthstone a message pops up saying "Fourth test season 8 days remaining". What does that mean?

As was mentioned in the comments yesterday, it's like a WoW PVP season. When the season concludes, your rank in ranked play will reset and you'll begin to climb the ladder again.

John22 asked:

Was Rhonin's body ever found in Theramore? Is it possible that he was hurled into another dimension/location yet to be found in another expansion?

Rhonin took the blast right in the face, so he was most likely vaporized. However, given Warcraft uses comic book logic, the fact that his remains aren't in anyone's possession (as far as we know) means he very well could show up with superpowers one day.

itsdeeps asked:

I have a question relating to everyone's complaints about the WoD "release date": was it ever stated definitively by anyone at Blizzard that they were going to be releasing expansions faster? the masses have been crying out against Bliz for "promising" faster releases but I can only recall them saying that they'd like to... and I'd really like to put this issue to bed

Did they promise it? No. Have they said repeatedly they'd like to improve the rate at which they release content? Many times. They started Mists of Pandaria strong and I was very impressed with it, but now that we're in this drought, it feels like they overextended themselves and haven't made any progress on their release cycle at all.

Still, saying they promised it is totally untrue. Blizzard generally does not make promises.

@RhoWoW asked:

Do you think Blizzard has a grand plan for Magatha Grimtotem or will she be a long unresolved loose end?

Magatha has always struck me as a B-level villain. She shows up from time to time to do something sinister but never quite reaches the supervillain level. I'm not sure there's a "grand plan" for her in the sense that she becomes the central antagonist of an expansion somewhere, but I doubt we've seen the last of her meddling.

@Ronin_Silegna asked:

Good place to farm paladin transmog gear to match House Wrynn Claymore?

It's too bad they don't allow you to transmog into the level 60 plate PVP gear, because that would be perfect. At least, I don't think they do. An Alliance-themed set would be best. Maybe tier 9 plate? The color scheme isn't quite right, but Alliance is Alliance. Perhaps you could follow this remix of the Stormwind Guard set we posted way back.

Readers, any other suggestions?
