One Shots: Fare game

wildstar

We're starting to get a lot of WildStar submissions these days following the launch, which is something I certainly encourage (and where are you people with awesome Elder Scrolls Online pics, by the way?). Today we've got two for our player screenshot column, starting off with reader Darla and a very sour Chua.

"The cabbies in this game don't shut up and my Chua is having a tough time coping," Darla moans. Secretly, I think she loves the weird chatter coming from the driver, but Chua have a reputation to maintain, you know?

It's not just cabbies and expensive space fares after the break, but also pictures to vibrant that they will make your ocular cavities weep saline fluid!

Lest you forget that there's some "western" in WildStar, Cowgirl Becca is here to show you rootin-tootin cupcakes what life is really all about.

"Pew pew pew! Rozily the Spellslinger is shootin' to kill!" Becca writes. "What's she shooting at? I dunno, but Thayd is kinda ghetto so I'm not sure if anyone is surprised by laser fire at this point."

Switch back to good ol' fantasy, reader Vexia has another Final Fantasy XIV vista to share. Mind the must and swamp snakes, and you'll get along with the local inhabitants just fine. You might even set up a summer cottage after you fall in love with the quaint charm!

Vexia writes: "This is the Wanderer's Palace, an ancient ruin from a bygone era which starkly contrasts desolate loneliness with the beauty of nature reclaiming civilization. It's basically the Tintern Abbey of the La Noscea region. The tonberries help, too."

Finally, reader Dani is here to remind us that even at almost two years old, Guild Wars 2 still has it in the looks department. "Here is Somnium showing off Sylvari cultural armor and the new Zenith Spire staff skin," she shares. "This was taken just after defeating the Shatterer in Blazeridge Steppes."

For our screenshot challenge this week, I'd really love to get more pictures of MMOs that have released in the past year. I know that screenshot folders swell during these periods and I'd hate for your best shot to go unadmired! Send it on in, OK?

Want to be featured in a future edition of One Shots? Send your favorite MMO screenshots to oneshots@massively.com, and don't forget to include your name, the name of the game, and a description of the scene. Large, colorful, UI-free shots that tell a story and really show off the game make for the best images. Look ma, we brought back One Shots!
