Behind-the-scenes video basks in Geometry Wars 3's glow

We don't envy Lucid Games – the studio has a passionate fanbase to appease when it launches Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions this fall on Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4 and PC. Fortunately, Lucid houses senior developers from now-defunct series creator Bizarre Creations, and it's clear that the team has some ideas on how to progress from 2008's GW2: Retro Evolved.

In a behind-the-scenes feature posted after the break, Lucid Co-Founder Nick Davies and Creative Director Craig Howard describe what they have in mind for Dimensions, including boss battles, 3D battlegrounds and head-to-head multiplayer. Check the video to get a glimpse of those elements in action and to get reacquainted with your neon-hued geometric rivals!

Hi,

Sierra has released a brand new behind the scenes video for Geometry Wars3: Dimensions, giving you an inside look into the eyes and minds of the development team at Lucid Games.

Geometry Wars3: Dimensions is a fast-paced, multi-directional arcade game that captures the classic energy of the series. The game features new 3D action and new gameplay modes including a dedicated single-player campaign, a revamped cooperative mode and online competitive multiplayer. Geometry Wars3: Dimensions is planned to launch this holiday season and will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC via Steam.

Starting today, Geometry Wars3: Dimensions will be available to play for all PAX Prime show attendees at Booth N3 (located on the 4th Floor Lobby, outside of the Main Hall) this weekend. Fans will be able to play the game between 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (PT), and 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (PT) each day, and compete with other players to prove their mastery of three-dimensional battle in order to top the game's daily public leaderboard. At the end of each day, the leaderboard winner will be selected to receive* a custom-made, Geometry Wars3: Dimensions-themed figurine – shown on display at the booth.
