Spiders are gross. Spider-people are awesome. What's up with that?

lib.feathers asked:

Pardon if this has been brought up before, but I just noticed it today. It contains minor spoilers for WoD, so fair warning... When I first got to Wor'var, Aggra says that she is expecting her second child. Now she's saying that she can't wait to get back to Orgrimmar and her "children", and then she proceeds to take part in the Grommashar quests. I'm really curious whether the WI staff thinks this is an acceptable fix for the boys' trip or not. It's not making sense to me. Why would Thrall send the mother of his children to go fight while he stays behind?

I think it's pretty cool, honestly. And it makes me glad people put the pressure on Blizzard to include her. That's always one of the big issues (among many) with representations of women in media -- a lot of the time, a kickass woman is introduced entirely to be the heroic protagonist's love interest, and that kickass woman has all of her agency stripped away to become mommy and produce children unending. Initially, Aggra was such a transparent example of that. She was written and created to be Thrall's baby producer. At least Thrall/Aggra dodged the Heroes Always Have Twins bullet (see: Rhonin) by spreading it over two pregnancies.

Aggra's a fighter from a culture that has a heavy emphasis on strength. If their culture respects their women, then women fight, too. It's cool that she can choose to continue doing that. Women don't instantly turn into thin pieces of glass at the moment of conception, either. She's still capable of fighting. Actually, I think it would make a pretty cool story if, for example, a pregnant mage was still on the battlefield for the duration of a pregnancy; it wouldn't hamper fireballs. Not necessarily in World of Warcraft, but somewhere.

More simply, she's fighting against a threat that aims to overrun Azeroth. Contributing to that fight may be far more important to the survival of her children than sitting at home with them. If we fail on Draenor, her kids are dead anyway.

Krewcabanger asked:

Not sure if this has been answered but since VP and JP are going away will the vendors that sell CATA level mats for JP be going away or just costing gold now?

It will all cost gold.

JeffLaBowski asked:

Anyone know what exactly will be stored in the reagent tab? Will gems or engineering materials be able to go in there?

I haven't tested every item in the game, but generally speaking, everything that is used in crafting can go in that tab. Herbs, ores, gems, leather, and so on.

Elpreder asked:

what is one area or dungeon/raid that blizzard either said they were going to do or hinted at doing but never did bummed you out the most?

All of the underground nerubian stuff in Wrath of the Lich King. Everything in and around Crystalsong Forest ended up not being implemented because Dalaran above it was an enormous resource drain. That's why the Argent Tournament ended up on a spot of land that was added into the gameworld in that patch -- they had to alter the coastline mid-expansion to get it all in there. It was supposed to be in Crystalsong.

Way the heck back in 2008, I wrote a Know Your Lore about Azjol-Nerub. I wanted so badly to see their civilization in action. Oh well.

darury asked:

Is there a specific date for the end of selling the virtual tickets announced that I'm not aware of? I'm planning on buying one this year finally and I don't want to miss out. I forgot last year and I'm kind of annoyed with myself.

I'm pretty sure the virtual ticket is available through the end of the convention. You should be able to buy it while the con is ongoing unless they do it differently this year than last year.

JordanPhillips asked:

sorry if this is a dumb question, but will the Warlock Green Fire quest permanently remain in the game, or is it going to be a temporary deal to end with this expansion?

The quest is here to stay, but the "of the Black Harvest" title can only be aquired if you complete the quest before patch 6.0.
