WRUP: Elegy for a backlog

The experimental Elegy for a Dead World and the emotional Never Alone didn't make chipping away at the block of ice that is our backlog any easier.

• Alexander Sliwinski (@Sliwinski, Twitch): You know who doesn't give a @#$%? The honey badgers of Far Cry 4! Also going into Destiny's The Dark Below.

• Anthony John Agnello (@AJohnAgnello): The closer we get to Christmas, the greater my itch to play Chrono Trigger. I've played the first few hours recently, right up to the quest to reforge the Masamune. What a game. Other than that, it's back to Dragon Age Inquisition.

• Danny Cowan (@db_cowan, Twitch): I'm going to finally start up Dragon Age: Inquisition. I'm gonna do it. For real this time. Just you wait and see.

• Earnest Cavalli (Twitch): This weekend I'll be refreshing my memory on just how crazy-complicated fighters from Arc System Works can be with a lengthy tour of the upcoming new-generation Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-. When my thumbs inevitably burst into flame, I plan to cool down with a visit to the family-friendly cockfights of Pokemon Omega Ruby.

• Mike Suszek (@MikeSuszek, Twitch): Pokemon, Xeodrifter, Mordor.

• Richard Mitchell (@TheRichardM, Twitch): I'm determined to finish Alien: Isolation ... eventually. Less determined to finish The Evil Within, which isn't doing much for me after a few hours. Also Xeodrifter, and maybe even a little Destiny.

• Sinan Kubba (@SinanKubba, Twitch): So fricking behind. Why can't Dragon Age Inquisition be shorter and less fun?

• Sam Prell (@SamPrell, Twitch): If I can get a female Qunari to not look quite so coked out of her mind, I'll be playing Dragon Age: Inquisition. (Can I say "coked"? Is that a thing?)

• Susan Arendt (@SusanArendt, Twitch): Dankey Kaaaaaaaang. Tropical Freeze is absolutely marvelous, and it's even got co-op! Also hoping to try a bit of Alien: Isolation and finish up Framed.

• Thomas Schulenberg (@T_Schulenberg, Twitch): I'll keep unlocking obscenely-useful abilities in Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, but I'll occasionally pause to face the different breed of freakish monster found in Sunset Overdrive.

• Xav de Matos (@Xav, Twitch): Sunset Overdrive, Far Cry 4 and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter maybe. Off the grid: Probably Castles of Burgundy or Lords of Waterdeep.
