WRUP: Gratuitous marketing ploys
Welcome back to Massively's What Are You Playing, the game where we tell you what we're playing this weekend and you tell us how sideboob is totally relevant to the marketing of an MMO strategy game. These are the people who made ArcheAge, folks.
@ceruleangrey: I'm going to be polishing up my Final Fantasy XIV characters in preparation for the 2.2 patch this weekend. None of them is level 50, it seems as if level 50 is required to use the Glamour system, and nothing motivates me like playing dress up.
@nbrianna: I'll probably be in Guild Wars 2 trying to decide between hairstyles for my Asura Guardian. So cute. I also got Lord of the Rings Online reinstalled, and I really, really need to go get back into Diablo III. But I just got a new phone, and mobile games look so pretty on it.
@Eliot_Lefebvre: Aside from doing more work on my personal blog, I'll be playing a fair bit of Star Trek Online; Final Fantasy XIV is on a gentle hiatus until next week when I can jump in and explore all the new stuff that the latest patch has to offer. I'm also debating toying around in my Steam arsenal again; there are buckets of games sitting there to be played. I haven't played through any of the Deus Ex games yet and I've owned them for like a year.
@jefreahard: I went back to The Secret World, but then Star Wars: The Old Republic decided to add housing, and I've still got a bit of Westemnet farming to do before I can check LotRO off my need-to-beat list. So probably one or all three of those along with copious of amounts of Pirate Captain Simulator 2013, aka Black Flag.
@Sypster: Aside from studiously reading Eliot's personal blog, I will be recording two new new Battle Bards podcasts and probably playing the heck out of Guild Wars 2. My Ranger's 80 now, she's in full exotics, and she has a pig named Monkey at her side. Nothing can stop her now!
@Shaddoe: With no double XP weekend nor Elder Scrolls Online beta, I might actually go outside this weekend. Whom am I kidding? I'm going to play Star Wars: The Old Republic. I have a madness-specced Sith Assassin who's growing on me; I will have to do some leveling on him this weekend.
@MJ_Guthrie: I'm giving up MMOs. No, wait... no -- definitely not. Although I won't be doing a whole heap of gaming this weekend (so I say now), I will be popping into Lord of the Rings Online a bit to finally check out Mirkwood, do a few more Flappy runs and a dungeon or two in The Secret World, and roam the world in EverQuest Next Landmark to find a few more claims to show off. Oh, and hopefully remember to template everything before the closed beta wipe! One of these days I need to slip back into Xsyon and finish more dungeons in Vanguard, but that might have to wait. Maybe.
