Ubisoft reveals 900p resolution for Watch Dogs on PS4 - no, for real this time

Watch Dogs will run at 900p on PS4, 729p on Xbox One, and 30 frames per second on both systems, Ubisoft has announced. If that sounds familiar, here's some background: confusion over Watch Dogs' performance started over the weekend when Sony listed the game as 1080p and 60 frames per second on their website, but shortly thereafter took the numbers down.

This time, the information comes straight from developer/publisher Ubisoft, and therefore should be accurate. For realsies.

"Resolution is a number, just like framerate is a number," Watch Dogs creative director Jonathon Morin said on the Ubisoft blog. "All those numbers are valid aspects of making games. But you make choices about the experience you want to deliver. In our case, dynamism is everything. Exploration and expression are everything."

Watch Dogs will arrive for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC on May 27. Unless someone decides to change that number as well, of course.
