If everyone could just agree to stay in their own realms, there'd probably be a lot fewer instances of heroes getting saddled with the responsibility of solving conflicts larger than themselves. Of course, when your world consists of an Overworld and a Netherworld, like the world of Eos featured in Viktor, it's practically begging for power-hungry inhabitants to spill into the other dimension in their hunt for power. You'll be able to sort out such an invasion when Viktor launches on Steam for $9.99 in June.

Guiding Viktor, players set out on a 2D, action-oriented jaunt to restore peace, predominately by running and gunning toward Mephistopheles, leader of the Netherworld. Developer Shorebound Studios cites Castlevania and Mega Man as Viktor's influences, but judging by the above trailer, maybe Viktor has a bit of the X-Men's teleporting Nightcrawler in him, too.

Playing Viktor, you'll fight your way through a diverse spectrum of hostile environments where you'll encounter a wide variety of relentless enemies, lurking traps, and fearsome bosses.
