The Queue: The Three Draeneimigos, I'm a mutant, Leyara was right

Welcome back to The Queue, the daily Q&A column in which the WoW Insider team answers your questions about the World of Warcraft. Matthew Rossi will be your host today.

I very very much want to see the new draenei male in action. Human male, I get that's next, but as soon as possible please. Still, Vindicator Maraad's rocking that hammer. If transmog is working properly the next time the Alpha's up, I may match up with him.

gazaa07 asks:
Rossi posted on twitter this little gem, which implies (to me at least) he's been playing a Warrior for so long that he's started picking up warrior talents IRL.

My Q4tQ: if you could pick from WoW (as of 5.4.8) any spell, ability, talent, glyph or shapeshift and have it as your singular Super-Power, what would you have and why?

Titan's Grip. Or do I not get one because we've decided I have Second Wind already? Well, if I could pick, I'd pick Titan's Grip. Carrying around two gigantic buster swords would be awesome.

cgilm2526 asks:
Has Blizzard mentioned if there are going to be an new Guild Perks with WoD?

When Mists of Pandaria was being tested it was mentioned that no new guild perks or guild levels were being worked on for it. So far, nothing has been announced for Warlords of Draenor, either.

HaydenHiggs asks:
Who's the one character you would bring back to life and rewrite their death/redemption/etc.?

This one's tough for me. I always hated how Cairne Bloodhoof died, but I like how Baine's developed, I don't want to take Baine away from us. Similarly, Nazgrim's death fills a good character role for him - he died so that he could live with himself, basically, and I don't want to cheapen that.

Honestly, I'd bring back Leyara. We could use a villainous sect of anti-druids who embody nature's more savage aspects and oppose the Cenarion Circle, and let me be completely honest with you -- Leyara was right. The Horde massacred her people, murdered her child, and left her with nothing and what did Malfurion do? Nothing. He comes back after his extended nap and (as far as Leyara can tell) stands back and lets this happen. To a woman who already lost her husband fighting against the Qiraji and who saw her father in law deposed as Archdruid and accused of madness and betrayal, what is she expected to think? While Fandral was in charge, the Horde was kept back. As soon as Malfurion comes back, boom, Horde bats firebombing Astranaar.

Leyara could make common cause with Maiev Shadowsong (another powerful Kaldorei discontented with the Malfurion/Tyrande rule) and perhaps even recruit others. A storyline that dealt with significant night elf unreast with their leaders could be fascinating - imagine if Leyara and Maiev actually managed to take over their society? Sentinels loyal to Maiev patrolling the streets, Leyara's new druids suddenly in command of Teldrassil. It could be very very cool, and it would be different.

dpdiebel asks:
When do you think the new human male model will appear?

I hope very very soon. Please let it not have that face. That hideous, abominable face.

morvackthemountmimic asks:
The article wow insider wrote about Durotan said that he and a friend were taken into a hidden draeni city. Do you think players will be able to visit this city in Draenor?

The friend was Orgrim Doomhammer, the city was Telmor and yes, we will be visiting it.

AdamMiller asks:
We "know" about the launch event with the dark portal business, but how long should we speculate it would last? Cata had several months with the EchoIsles/Gnomer stuff, then the elemental invasion. Wrath had the scourge invasion and plague outbreak.

I'm just wondering if it's something that'll be a week and we better be available, or if it's a month and we have some time to do stuff.

Well, we 'know' the Dark Portal will turn red and Iron Horde will come pouring out of it because that was mentioned at BlizzCon, but we don't actually know that. Until it's finalized, we don't really know much of anything about what the pre-expansion event is going to be. Mists just had a scenario that didn't even seem to have much to do with the expansion until you got to Siege, so it's possible we'll get no such event, or that we will. I'll make no assumptions until I get a definitive announcement.

That being said, if there is a pre-expansion event similar to the Wrath and Cataclysm events, I'd expect it to last roughly from when 6.0 drops until Warlords itself goes live.

I'll say now, I really hope we get an honest to Draenor world event instead of a scenario. I really didn't like the Theramore scenario - it's still my least favorite - and I'd have much rather have had a world event of some kind.

And that's the Queue for Tuesday.
