WRUP: Guardians of the Twisting Nether

Guardians of the Galaxy is out this weekend, a thrilling tale of a motley crew of unexpected allies who somehow manage to come together and save the galaxy from certain destruction. I saw it on Thursday night and thought it was hysterically awesome. It's the combination of unlikely characters that makes the film, really -- so when I was putting together this week's WRUP, I thought I'd throw out an unlikely bonus question: If you were going to assemble an unlikely crew from Azeroth's finest to save the world, who would you stick together?

I'm pretty sure Cro Threadstrong would have to be on my team, as well as Asric and Jadaar, Thisalee Crow, and Myra Tyrngaarde. Yes, the bread vendor from Ironforge. You just know she's hiding the secret ability to go ballistic. They'd totally defeat the Burning Legion. ... or at least they'd provide enough of a startling distraction for the other heroes to come in and take care of business.

And of course we ask, as we always do, what are you playing?

Elizabeth Harper (@Faience) I'm still in recovering from Comic-Con mode, but I may spend some time trying to finish up Loremaster this weekend. Just a few zones to go!

Matthew Rossi (@MatthewWRossi) I'm going to be dead of heatstroke. Just remember me as I was, a pool of my own sweat.

My "Guardians of the Twisting Nether" team would consist of Rexxar, Turalyon and Alleria, Calia Menethil, an awesome talking sprite darter named Windtear, and Shandris Feathermoon as the team murder specialist.

Michael Gray (@writegray) I'm laid up in bed after a multi-car collision. I can't really sit up for long or do much until my spine gets back in shape, so I'm mostly listening to TV shows and such.

My Guardians of Azeroth would be: Shoni the Shilent, Captain Placeholder, Cro Threadstrong, Mankrik's Wife, and the man, the myth, the legend: Hemet Nesingwary. (You might know him better as Beast-Lord.)

Sarah Pine (@ilaniel) My tendinitis is flaring up again so I'm going to be avoiding the computer for the weekend. It's Sea Fair in Seattle so there are plenty of things going on in the city.

As for Guardians of Azeroth, I choose my guild. Despite everything, we've managed to consistently kill Garrosh. All those chickens in the guild bank really did make a difference!
