Around Azeroth, Beta Edition: All flights out of Nethergarde have been cancelled
Beta tester Dorelei of Spectacular Death on Llane (US-A) was hanging around Nethergarde Keep when some Iron Horde mages decided to cause a transportation delay by setting the gryphons on fire. They didn't seem to mind it too much. After all, it's not like they had any means to escape the flames, such as wings attached to their backs. Preposterous! And thus were born the new phoenix-manned flight paths.
