Given the amount of updated content in Warlords of Draenor, it's no wonder the system requirements have been adjusted. However, keep in mind that there are workarounds if you're running on an older system. The new models are amazing, but you can swap back to the older ones by turning them off in the Interface/Display panel, to help with system performance. New features like outlining for quest NPCs and items are also able to be turned off and on as well. But if you've been looking for an excuse to upgrade, now might be a good time to check into doing so.
