Watch Steve Wozniak demo hotel keyless entry with the iPhone
Starwood Hotels has service called Starwood Preferred Guests which gives perks to people regularly frequent the chain. One of those perks is an iPhone app while allows members to book stays and then use their phone as a key to unlock their room. Members don't even need to check in at the desk at W, Aloft, or Element hotels. Just sign up from your phone, get your room number and use your phone as a key.
