Detailed review
My second Kindle after using the 4th gen model before this. Overall a great product and the lighted display is great for reading in dark places. The resolution is also improved though I thought the previous model's resolution was also just find for displaying text. On the other hand I think this device takes a step back in two areas. First, it weighs slightly more than the 4th gen. Not a lot more but still noticable on such a small device that I use on the move a lot. Second is only having a touch screen. The 4th gen had buttons on the sides that could be used to switch pages. Now I have to tough the screen each time. This makes a difference to me as I use the device standing up on the train/subway in Tokyo a lot. Before I could hold and operate the Kindle comfortably with one hand. Now I have to use what was my free hand to tap the screen each time to change pages. I wish a non-touch version was also offered for users like me who really don't care about having everything be touch capable.
