The Apple AirPort Express is an affordable, easy-to-use 802.11g multifunction access point and digital music adapter that works with both PCs and Macs. As long as you stay in the MP3/AAC world and don't need photo or video support, it's a fine choice. quote

If you don’t need the features unique to Apple’s AirPort Extreme Base Station, the new Express is an affordable and portable alternative, although one that doesn’t quite match the Extreme’s performance... the AirPort Express offers more features, a more travel-friendly design, and easier...

Don't pick up a new, 802.11n-enabled AirPort Express if you're looking for superfast wireless networking performance. You should consider it, however, if you're in the market for a new Wi-Fi router that offers portability, ease of use, and the unique ability to stream iTunes over your network.

Simply put, the AirPort Express is a product I found so valuable that I bought one as soon as Apple took back the model I was reviewing.

It's unfortunate that this price premium will make most Windows-world folks pass right on by. Because they'll be missing not only a nicely designed multi-mode 802.11g AP / router / bridge, but a product experience that's all too rare in the street brawl that we've come to know as the consumer...

I am using the AirPort Express as a travel router for my business trips. It is small enough that I can easily pack it and the built-in power plug means one less cable to deal with. It's a small compact case. Many hotels still have Network ports in the guest rooms (at least the nicer hotels do it...

Love the Apple Express .... I use it to stream my iTunes library (about 10k songs) wirelessly from my office (upstairs) to my family room (downstairs). It is connected to my Bose Lifestyle surround sound system (2 zone - indoor and outdoor). This way I don't have to worry about creating...

Great if you want easy and small, that's what it's good at, plain an simple. The current version seems to be more reliable than the first one.

I've had the same unit for almost 3 years now. It worked without problems when I first got it, but it hasn't aged too gracefully, as it's now no longer a surprise when it drops the network or freezes. When it works, it's fine and unobtrusive, and even has some nifty little features. However, when...

I use the Airport Express as the second router in my house. It receives the music I stream from iTunes through Airplay. I will tell everyone I know about how awesome and amazing wireless music is - just makes life so much simpler. But it can (and does) glitch when playing music at times. Perhaps...

My most favoritest feature is that you can configure this thing to output music to your local receiver or speaker kit the includes optical in. I also use it to extend my wireless network. And it is so portable and small. Love it.

I have but one complaint. I wish it wouldn't drop music that you Airplay to it so much. I've tried moving it around and it may be my specific environment but its a real pain in the ass for me. My Sonos kills this.
