The Mac Mini is the greatest Mac that never was, always just a little too expensive and/or a little too underfeatured to be perfect. This time it's closer than ever to perfection—but still falls short.

While we're still impressed with the Mac Mini's ability to pack so much into a tight package, Apple can't get away from its PC competitors that offer more features for less money. If saving space and the Mac OS are dominating factors, then the new Mac Minis are a viable option, but your dollar will...

So there are few niggles with the Mac mini. It's the usual seamless operation we've come to expect from Apple. You take it out of the box and it just works. With the upgrades coming in at the same prices as the last versions, the new Mac mini looks very tempting indeed

With its small and stylish form-factor, great price and decent performance, the Mac Mini is the perfect way to create an HTPC. Here's how I'm using mine: Previous gen Mini (1.83 C2D with integrated graphics) hooked up via DVI -> HDMI converter to my HDTV. Using Digital Out to my...

I love the mac mini. I have it attached to a 32" 1080p tv. I run Plex media server on it as well as use it for general desktop duties as well as editing photos in aperture. It doesn't have much internal storage. I have 5tb of external hard drives hooked up to it though.

I bought it mainly to play around with XCode, Apple's objective-c IDE that can be used to develope Mac or IPhone software. The model I bought comes with 1GB's RAM; install additional RAM is not really plug and play and voids your warantty; On the other hand, there are a lot of guie...
