The latest iteration of the MacBook Air may look identical to the old ones, but it has a newer processor and incredible battery life. The newest 11-inch Air has Intel's new Haswell processor to keep things moving, and Pocket-Lint says "there's plenty of power for things, so things happen with real snap." The newer chip also improved battery life, with CNET saying it lasted "an extremely impressive 10 hours" and TechRadar calling the battery life "incredible." If you were hoping for higher resolution in the 2013 model, then you'll be disappointed to see it's not here but as CNET points out, the display is still "very crisp."

Apple’s new 11-inch Air goes a conservative route in 2013, emphasizing longer battery life and more affordable pricing over any big design changes. The battery boost alone might be worth it.

The Apple MacBook Air 11-inch (Mid 2013) is the Haswell updated version of the iconic ultraportable laptop. It lasts over 10 hours running on battery power, so it's a highly recommended choice if you must have the thinnest possible laptop with the most battery life.

Overall, there's a lot to love about the 11-inch MacBook Air. Although this 2013 update doesn't bring a change in design or display, it does bring a substantial performance boost. This may be a small form notebook, but there's plenty of power to tackle your daily computing needs.

We're disappointed rather than annoyed that Retina didn't find its way into this iteration and think that if you have the last MacBook Air, it's not worth upgrading just yet ... However, in performance terms, it's comparable if-not-better than its heftier 13-inch MacBook Pro cousin.

The 2013 MacBook Air 11-inch takes Apple's ultra-portable notebook a significant step in the right direction, but it's by no means a great leap forward.

If the quality of the display is not an issue for you, then the mid-2013 MacBook Air has plenty going for it. The real selling point is the much improved battery life, which could attract users who prefer the smaller form factor, but opted for the 13-inch model to get more usable battery life.

there really isn't much to say about this machine. Its really just a spec bump from last years model. Yes they upgraded the processor and got every last second of battery life they could out of this machine as well as the faster SSD and those are the high points. It still has all the same lows...

is the best portable computer i`ve ever owned, love the design and the battery life, also it charges super fast, the bad thing is the expandability.

The CPU is only marginally faster, but the SSD is twice as fast and the battery lasts nearly twice as long compared to the 2012 MacBook AIR. A solid upgrade to one of the best laptops on the market.

Would love to see apple make a 12 incher in the same form factor as this 11.6 since there is a lot of space wasted with the screen bezels. Retina on this MBA would be my next 100percent buy (i dont like macbook pro's... Too big for a true laptop)
