If you want a router that is fast, easy to set up and future-proof, the ASUS RT-AC68U is up to the challenge. It not only offers fast speeds, but offers them on the N and AC bands to ensure connectivity for all your devices -- present and future.

It's easy to get started with the AC68U, thanks to an "easy to navigate" interface that Expert Reviews says "includes some extremely useful features" while Trusted Reviews says ASUS "must be applauded for the ease of its setup." Experienced users need not worry, as TechRadar notes that "advanced options can also be found from this same interface," including features that PC Mag says are "not found in all consumer routers," like "parental controls, QoS, firewall, and security." CNET notes that it even "comes with a few new business-oriented features ... including support for dual-WAN and a set of network tools." Ultimately, TrustedReviews feels that the AC68U "ticks all the right boxes."

The Asus RT-AC68U Dual-band Wireless-AC1900 Gigabit Router is an excellent performer and shows that Asus's 802.11ac technology has matured since the release of the RT-AC66U. While it's stellar in 802.11ac mode, those with 802.11n-only clients may not see much benefit over its predecessor.

We'd still like to see AiCloud offer full remote access to router controls and the RRP is high, but right now there is no better router on the market.

You'll pay for the privilege of faster throughput and increased range, but this router is about as future-proof as they come, and easily will offer a 3 to 4-year lifespan in any home.

I bought the Asus RT-AC68U on Amazon. It arrived 3 days ago and I have had to make 5 phone calls over 3 days to tech support. The router randomly drops both my wired and wireless connections. Tech support suggested a firmware update. I did that but it is still randomly dropping my wired...

This is probably the best AC router you can buy. Great reviews from trusted sites, and real-world performance that lives up to the hype. Setup was a snap -- the visual interface is easy to work with and makes configuring all of the features very easy. Range/speed were exceptional across the...

Nice unique features like BitTorrent support, USB 3.0, Airplay and DLNA support, parental controls, AiCloud (access to USB disk from outside thru iOS-app AiCloud) etc.BUT Very unstable in all possible firmwares including Merlin. Unusable with HFS+ & Time Machine Reboots itself, drops torrents...

Very fast wifi and straight foreward setup... miles away from my Linksys E4200 - now relegated to switch operation.
