Detailed review
Used mine with the stock ASUS firmware for about a day. After that I went looking for a DD-WRT build for it but due to some NVRAM issues it's a bit riskier than I felt comfortable with. Flashed a fork of the ASUS firmware that is developed by RMerlin and I've been a happy camper ever since. Got OpenVPN tunnels working, DNSMasq and some customized IP Tables.

And this thing is zippy too!
