Got a weeklong vacation coming up? Throw the CP900, the adapter, and extra ink/paper sets into your suitcase, and you’re ready to hand out photos, just minutes after they’re shot. If all you want to do is print photos on your desk at home or in the office, though, this model isn't a cost-efficient pick. You would be better off buying an inexpensive inkjet printer. Your printed photos would cost less, possibly last longer, and even look a little better. quote

Running costs are high compared with typical inkjets, but print quality is generally good and photos are dry and more robust, even straight out of the printer.

This Canon Selphy CP900 is a quick photo printer, but the best photo inkjets produce superior prints. Alternatively, for those in less of a hurry, an online service such as Snapfish has no upfront fee and each print costs about half as much.
