Gadget unicorn sightings
details
Gadget unicorns are how I refer to when a gadget gets massive hype, and then fizzles out with little to no fanfare due to poor reception. I think of things like the Kindle DX or the Nexus Q. Just stuff you would never expect to see out "in the wild" but when you do, you're in awe of what just came across your eyes.
Just yesterday, while at the train station in a small NJ town I saw someone with a Galaxy Gear. I felt bad because I kept staring at the person's wrist, but I have literally never seen... Read more →

Over the past year, we’ve scored well over a thousand gadgets. Most of those are good products, with gdgt Scores in the mid 70s to low 80s. So with Google now taking the time to re-engineer, I was thinking what it would need to be successful, and I am interested in your opinions on this too.
I feel that the Nexus Q... Read more →

Despite all the critical bashing, I still want one as my living room stereo.
details
I currently don't have a entertainment center and the small setup with a pair of thrift store speakers would be nice. If I could get one used or discounted it would be great. I have a several android devices already to use with it. I am probably more of the targeted market than many of the home theater enthusiasts with stacks of devices hooked up to their mega stereo.
