The few G-series features missing in the G300 such as customizable weights and free-spin scrolling seem acceptable trade-offs for the reduced price, but Logitech should have included a tilting scroll wheel for the extra buttons. quote

The Logitech Gaming Mouse G300 is the perfect first-person shooter gaming mouse for casual players looking for better performance than they'd get out of a standard—out of the box—computer mouse.

If you are quickly adaptable to different designs, you should be fine. If not, you may heavily regret a purchase. Me? If I were in the market right now for a $40 mouse, I'd pick one of these up without hesitation. I'd just have to force myself to not look at the ugly red bottom.

The G300 is a fine wired gaming mouse with a slick design at a reasonable price. Our main quibble: Its optional-but-crucial software was (at least at first) a little balky.

On paper, the Logitech G300 looks great. In practice, it's a pretty bog-standard mouse or a pretty poor gaming mouse, depending on how you look at it. We'd have loved to tell you this button-packed mouse was a real bargain but, unfortunately, that's not the case.

The mouse comfort is so-so due to the fact that the mouse is a fairly small mouse for me (I have fairly big hands, and so I have to claw my hand and my wrist grinds on my mouse pad). Besides that fact, its been a great mouse. I do wish that I could increase the DPI higher than 2500, but its an...

This has been a great mouse, works fine with generic drivers on Windows7/8 64bit. I have had trouble with the Logitech gaming software but I don't play that many games on the PC these days. Mouse works great with MS Word and Excel.
