Is it possible to reorder remote activities?

So I set up the activities on my Logitech 700 in a backasswards way to the point where if I want to use my Media Center (my most used activity), I have to click into the second screen to do so.
Is there any way to reorder them around aside from deleting and re-adding? I found some old FAQ's on the net[1] that said if I go to http://members.harmonyremote.com/, I can do it there, but it doesn't look like that's... Read more →

What is the best headset for comfort and quality for glasses wearers?
I am looking for user recommendations for a headset for Skype and music that I could wear comfortably for a few hours.
  • Needs to fit comfortably while wearing glasses
  • Mostly used for Skype
  • But would like to only use one headset at my desk (I currently have a 2nd pair for music)
  • Needs to block external noise a bit too
  • Wireless would be nice
  • Mac / USB
  • Currently have Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000

Any recommendations for a decent set of 2.1 computer speakers?
So I've had one set of speakers for closing in on 10 years now, and man have they been great! Still in great shape, and work awesome. The problem is that I'm moving cross-country and I'm trying to minimize what I have to take with me. I'm no audiophile, so I was wondering how much it would cost me to buy a comparable set of speakers today, or if it's worth it to take these speakers with me, considering they still work like a charm. Assuming this is, in fact, the correct set of speakers, I think... Read more →

I need to have an external mouse or keyboard be able to wake up a PC laptop from sleep mode
So I'm playing tech support for the parents this holiday as I'm sure many of us here are. My father has a windows laptop, and now has a new monitor to pair with it for expanded screen real estate. He's using a logitech mouse and keyboard as well, for essentially a desktop PC style setup. The laptop lid can remain closed now with the external display and peripherals, there's no need for it to be open. The trouble is, the external mouse and keyboard seem to have to no way of waking up the computer... Read more →

Why were my gadget submissions rejected?
I added two relevant gadgets I recently purchased to gdgt. The first one was a very popular Logitech PC/Mac USB microphone and the other was a Trendnet network device that converts any Ethernet port into a wifi adapter.

Both were rejected. Neither were found in the database of items.

I have no idea why those two items were rejected. There needs to be a system to explain why.

What's the best iOS/Smartphone Universal Remote?
...and when will they be added to gdgt? No doubt about it, the days of the universal remote control are numbered. The smartphone has its sights on eating up another standalone gadget. I'm talking about the relatively new but growing class of products exemplified by the Peel remote, the L5 Remote, the Griffin Beacon / Dijit, the Gear4 UnityRemote etc.... http://www.engadget.com/2010/12/08/peel-turns-your... http://www.l5remote.com/... Are there any great Bluetooth travel mice?
I'm a big fan of Logitech's Anywhere Mouse MX - it has a dual mode scroll wheel, it tracks on glass, and it's just the right size to be both portable and useful. But it uses a tiny RF receiver that eats up one of the two slots on my MacBook Air, and there are (many) times when I'm forced to choose between connecting a modem or a mouse. All this would be solved if Logitech made a Bluetooth version, but they don't. The V470 doesn't work on glass (a too-common material for desks in hotel rooms) and... Read more →

I've had the worst luck with Headphones.
I play a lot of online multiplayer games, so I own a Logitech headset (the cheapest one you can buy at places like Wal-Mart and Staples) because the microphone isn't terrible, and they're fairly durable. However the headphones always seem to go bad (by go bad, I mean that if I move my head in the slightest one or both outputs cuts in and out). I had a pair of Grado SR60 cans as well, which were one of my favorite pairs of headphones that I've ever owned/known, and towards the end... Read more →
