conclusion:We like it

Whether you need to work long into the night and would rather not turn on every light in the house, you want an illuminated keyboard to pair with your home-theater PC, or you just think it looks damn cool, the Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard will do the job. Its brightness automatically adjusts to ambient lighting levels, and a motion sensor turns it on when your hands are near. Logitech also makes a wired version, though it currently sells for about the same price as the wireless model, so unless you have a strong aversion to battery chargers, you should get this one.

The Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 is a sound and attractive keyboard in its own right, but unless you have a strong practical or aesthetic need for the wireless, the wired version is a better value. Still, we’d settle for either of them on sale.

What may be the real deal breaker are the keys themselves. I came to love their feel and comfort, but it did take awhile to warm up to them. I can easily see where some people will never like the feel or layout of the keys. With a MSRP of $99.99, I strongly urge you to try one out at computer store...

Lovely keyboard. Great to type on. Never had a power problem and my office is dark. One flaw: no lights for caps lock; num lock etc. You get used to not having them but it would be nice to know when you have your keys locked.

I like this keyboard a lot; the only two criticisms I have are the backlighting turns off too quickly when you move your hands off the keyboard; I'd like to see a setting to allow a 3-5 second hold period before the backlighting turns off again (I realize this is to save on battery life). Second,...

Really enjoy the feel of the keys more than anything. And although I'm disappointed most keyboards are going away from having a right-click button, the functionality is still on this one through a function key.
