The Engadget Score is a unique ranking of products based on extensive independent research and analysis by our expert editorial and research teams. The Global Score is arrived at only after curating hundreds, sometimes thousands of weighted data points (such as critic and user reviews).

Engadget Summary

The Panasonic DMP-BDT220 is an affordably priced Blu-ray player stuffed with all the right features. Not only does it work with most of the major streaming video services, including Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Amazon, but it's also Skype-compatible, allowing you to video chat directly from your TV (with the addition of an optional webcam, of course). You can also play back your own videos, either via the unit's USB port, its SD card slots, or over your home network. And, yes, it's 3D-compatible.
