iriver's B20 gets hands-on treatment
iriver's nicely featured B20 may only make us Americans envious, but for those able to take advantage of DAB / DMB, what's not to love? The folks over at CNET were able to get ahold of the aforementioned device and not only brush over some of its most notable qualities, but also offer up a nice selection of photos for you and your comrades to look at longingly. iriver's B20 mini-TV features DAB / DMB in a familiar format
It took a little while to get it out of Korea, but iriver is finally giving the B20 DMB TV some circulation come September. With the still-sexy looks of the original Clix, plus hot DAB / DMB / FM tuners and full-fledged PMP function, there's a lot to love about the new DAP. The 2.4-inch screen does it up QVGA, and there's a pop-up antenna hidden in the back. It comes in 2GB and 4GB flavors, and includes an SD card slot if that's not enough to satisfy. We're hearing 27 hours of battery life, but no precise launch date or price info just yet.[Via PlayerBites]
Iriver's tiny B20 DMB TV gets stuffed
A year after introducing us to their tiny, one-trick B10 mini DMB television, iriver is finally set to launch their B20 followup. Their latest D-Clicker features up to 4GB of flash memory on-board, a slightly larger 2.4-inch, 320 x 240 260k color display, miniSD expansion, and the ability to record voice and some of that sweet, sweet DMB TV. In addition to the FM radio found on the B10, the B20 also supports media-a-plenty including MP3, WMA, OGG, MPEG-4, WMV9, and JPG files and a battery which should muster up to 26/5/4-hours for MP3/video/DMB playback. Expect the 4GB version to hit Korea first for ???248,000 ($267) starting April 25th or ???198,000 ($213) if 2GB is enough to see you through. [Via Akihabara News]
iriver set to launch W10, Clix2 and B20 at CES
The mythical, morphing iRiver W10 looks to be due for release next week at CES. But that's just the start, as they'll also be launching the Clix2 media player, B20 DMB TV, and possibly a few more devices resulting in a 12-strong product show for Reigncom's iriver. The W10 pictured above, looks a whole helluvalot like the "V10" PMP prototype we checked at CeBIT and nothing like the WiBro UMPC we heard about from iriver themselves. Still, appearances aside, it looks like this W10 is some sort of media player with built-in Navteq maps for the US. However, instead of GPS or even Bluetooth listed in the specs, it features WiFi, VoIP and an MP3 player. The Clix2 is a bit more straight shootin'. It shares the beveled edges of the "W10" but, as the name applies, is a followup to the much loved Clix. Not much is known other than it sports an AMOLED display and up to 6GB of memory. Also scheduled for release is the B20 followup to the tiny B10 DMB player which bumps the screen size a tad to 2.4-inches and adds an SD slot for photo viewing and apparently some PVR action. To be honest, we're not sure what to expect after this, but knowing iriver, it's going to be interesting.
