We're not sure who's fiddling with all the levers and knobs at Xbox Live Arcade headquarters, but we've received a second day of new releases this week. Call it XBLA Thursday. Bloody Good Time and Haunted House were initially expected -- and then rejected -- to arrive on Wednesday, but it appears they needed another day to cook (or get out of Game Feast's way). You can now explore Haunted House for 800 MS Points ($10) or, if you prefer, have a Bloody Good Time for the bargain price of 400 MS Points ($5).

It's set to be another packed Wednesday for Xbox Live Arcade releases. First, the previously delayed Pinball FX 2 will bring its bumpers to the table. Plus, Ubisoft's humorous FPS Bloody Good Time is set to debut. And as if those weren't enough, GamerBytes reports 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures 2 (finally, a sequel!) and Atari's reboot of Haunted House will be released this Wednesday, as well. Oh, no -- we're not done yet: The Hydro Thunder Hurricane Tempest Pack DLC is also coming out this Wednesday ... Okay, we're done now. Update: Microsoft's Graeme Boyd (a.k.a. AceyBongos) has tweeted that both Bloody Good Time and Haunted House are not confirmed for release this week. Of course, Boyd's wording indicates that both releases could still happen. Update 2: Wednesday has arrived and, sure enough, only 3D Ultra MiniGolf Adventures 2 and Pinball FX2 have been released. Update 3: Okay, last one, we promise. Bloody Good Time and Haunted House have now been released. A day late.

Ubisoft uploaded a new trailer for Bloody Good Time last week. The trailer is mostly comprised of footage from another trailer, though some gameplay has been stitched onto the end. It also confirms an October 27 release for the violent, cartoonish first-person shooter.

Hot on the heels of the "movie poster" teasers, and ... several months after the first mention of the title, Ubisoft has given us the first real look at its downloadable game Bloody Good Time. The multiplayer Source Engine-powered FPS will be released on Steam and XBLA. Up to eight players can compete in various environments within a movie set, fighting to get the starring role in a horror movie by murdering each other with weapons ranging from the expected (guns) to the bizarre ("an exploding remote-controlled rat"). Check out the first screens in the gallery below, featuring the game's cast of playable movie stereotypes. Bloody Good Time will be available this fall.%Gallery-101179%

  • Ubisoft's movie parody posters look like a Bloody Good Time

Ubisoft sent out a series of three parody movie posters (and Tweeted another), featuring an overlapping group of characters. The publisher didn't explain what these posters related to, only saying "YOU MAY NOT KNOW IT.. BUT EVERYONE CAN MAKE IT BIG IN HOLLYWOOD.. WITH A GLIMPSE OF CRUELTY!" The posters all feature the same fake-name credits, though they all strangely list Robbie Coltrane as one of the stars. Ubisoft happens to have a Hollywood- and cruelty-themed game in its lineup: the PC/XBLA game Bloody Good Time, about teenage actors competing violently for a movie role. That was supposed to have been released by the end of June, so it's long past bloody time we heard something. The timing of these posters' release suggests we'll see more (and find out if these really do relate to Bloody Good Time) this weekend at PAX. Hopefully, we'll find that the game is funnier than the posters.%Gallery-100901%

  • Ubisoft's 'Bloody Good Time' coming to PC, XBLA in Q2

Ubisoft's latest title release schedule, appended to a financial report released earlier today, officially confirms the existence of "Bloody Good Time" -- initially outed by an OFLC classification -- and expects the game to launch on PC and Xbox Live Arcade sometime between now and the end of June 2010. About bloody time. Oh, about Bloody Good Time: According to a preview of the game's official website, the game follows "ambitious teen actors ready to kill for fame" as they vie for the lead role in a bizarre B-movie. We're imagining a Series 7-esque online shooter -- or a movie-set murder mystery in which a punctual killer punctures his victims with a pointy, novelty-sized Big Ben souvenir. (But it's probably a shooter.)

  • Ubisoft's 'Bloody Good Time' rated in Australia

The Australian OFLC ratings board has granted a rating to an Ubisoft game called Bloody Good Time -- a game that has yet to be quite announced, though Ubisoft already has a site for it. According to the blurb on the incomplete site, "Bloody Good Time is a game regrouping ambitious teen actors ready to kill for fame! Selected by a weird B-movie director looking for the best shot, they will do anything to get the lead role." How did this make it through the rating process in Australia, exactly? A German USK rating further specifies this game as an Xbox Live Arcade release -- essentially leaving only release date and graphical styles as open questions. Well, that and the issue of whether you control the murderous teen actors, in which case it's a multiplayer shooter, or the director, in which case it's something really interesting.
