Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW.com's series of fantasy death matches. Welcome to Round Two of the five-man Wrath of the Lich King season. Grab a seat, and let's get ready to rumble! You're going to be kicking yourself if you didn't vote last week but believe Commander Stoutbeard (or Kolurg) should have defeated Krik'thir the Gatewatcher in the Two Bosses Thunderdome. The Gatewatcher scuttled past the Commanders to victory with a margin of less than 4% - a smaller number of readers than those who voted for a tie/uncertain decision.Nathan: Really, the fight all comes down to which of the two commanders ends up fighting Krik'thir. If the battle comes down to a Dwarf Warrior versus a giant overgrown spider ... well, Dwarves are way more awesome. An Orc, on the other hand, while awesome in his own way, would simply not have what it takes to defeat Krik'thir and his minions. Here's how it would go down if it's Commander Stoutbeard doing the fighting: Commander Stoutbeard and his posse encounter Krik'thir and his spiders; Krik'thir and his first group of minions immediately attack, but Stoutbeard quickly Whirlwinds Krik'thir's minions to death while being healed by his Priests, keeping him from taking serious damage. Puzzled at his small enemy's resistance to damage, Krik'thir draws back in momentary puzzlement and to summon another group of minions into the fight. Taking advantage of the momentary respite, Stoutbeard challenges the spider to a drinking contest; the spider at first refuses, but Stoutbeard loudly mocks the spider, calling him a coward and insulting his mother. Krik'thir, embarrassed at being mocked in front of his remaining minions, accepts the challenge.

Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW.com's series of fantasy death matches. Welcome to Round Two of the five-man Wrath of the Lich King season. Grab a seat, and let's get ready to rumble! Here's a nasty melee match for this week's Two Bosses Thunderdome: Commander Kolurg/Stoutbeard of The Nexus versus Krik'thir the Gatewatcher from Azjol-Nerub. You may want to wear a splatter guard if you're sitting near the fence on this one - we can only imagine the carnage as the Commander's Whirlwind makes contact with Krik'thir's minions. The ground rules: Assume that the opponents and any minions share similar levels, health pools and comparative overall damage output. This deathmatch takes place in neutral territory, which shall not hinder either boss from using his usual encounter abilities. All the usual minions will be available to each boss. Don't get caught up in gameplay mechanics and what actual players might do in each encounter. Don't neglect style, story and scale. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls ... Dyin' time's here.

Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW Insider's series of fantasy death matches. This season's duelists hail from the five-man instances of Wrath of the Lich King.Commanders Kolurg or Stoutbeard carried this week's matchup by popular decision over contender Erekem. Dissenters made a strong case, though, for the Arakkoa's comeback potential in the likely event that the Commander's Whirlwind took out his guards."Anyone who thinks the Commanders would win, clearly hasn't fought Erekem," protests Karilyn, "for one simple reason: when Erekem's guards die, he becomes more powerful than you can imagine. I seriously doubt the Commander would hold back on using Whirlwind, as that's his biggest strength. A quick sacrificial offering of his guards, and Erekem would easily have a significant upper hand." Vote later today in the next matchup of this season's Two Bosses Enter ... One Boss Leaves.

Two Bosses Enter ... but only One Boss Leaves, in WoW Insider's series of fantasy death matches. This season's duelists hail from the five-man instances of Northrend.Have you met Commander Kolurg or Commander Stoutbeard, or Erekem? If you haven't, don't feel bad – I've run The Nexus and Violet Hold heroics until my eyes bleed, and I haven't made their acquaintance either. (Bad luck? Late-night runs turned lazy? Another case of birds avoiding my sweet lil' Cookie?) This week's Two Bosses Enter pits the less frequently encountered "extra" bosses from The Nexus against Erekem of Violet Hold. Before we get into the details of this week's match, I need to point out that I'm not alone in not having met these bosses, if the lack of screenshots on the usual sites is any evidence. If you have a screenshot of Commander Kolurg (or an especially nice shot of Stoutbeard or Erekem), do take a moment to submit them to wowhead.com or wowwiki.com, then notify us via our tip line (marked "Two Bosses Enter"). And now, let's get ready to rumble!
