You love licensed games, don't you? Of course you do! We had a chance to play Crave's upcoming games in a Pre-E3 media event. Games like Napoleon Dynamite and Crayola Adventures were on display, and we played every single thing we could grab our hands on. There was one good game on display ... but which one will it be? The George of the Jungle game ... or the spelling game? Read on to find out. Dave Mirra's BMX ChallengeWhat do you do when you create the worst PSP game of all time? You put it on Wii.%Gallery-4398%

PSP Fanboy and Joystiq got its hands on a lot of different games at Crave's Pre-E3 event. Not many were good. In fact, many were downright terrible. Here's our impressions: Spelling Challenges and More!Honestly, this was the best game available at the event. And, it's not the best bad game. No, it's actually pretty good. Taking a page from Brain Age, this "learning" game has you participating in a spelling challenge. And more! There's hangman, and other language games that'll make your English teacher proud. The game is presented as a game show, and the host is a lot of fun. The game has a great progression in challenge, and its easy to navigate. The PSP version has audio definitions of words, which makes for a far more natural game (the DS version, instead, flashes the word quickly). This game is going to be a ton of fun for the casual market ... who knew spelling could be so entertaining?%Gallery-4404%

We're not really sure we get the timing, but we'll take the announcement whenever: Crave announced a Napoleon Dynamite game for DS and PSP. While there are no real details yet -- like when it will be out, or what it will involve -- Crave's Mark Burke did promise that fans of the film will probably like it. Gosh! We fully expect lots of random quotes, as well as drawing and dancing minigames.[Thanks, Andrew!]

  • A spelling bee on the go

I avoid education and learning whenever I can--but then again, I also hate vegetables, and I watch cartoons. Essentially, I'm like an eight year-old that watches Playboy TV. But luckily for the planet, not everyone is like me and some people can have fun with brain-teasers and edutainment. That being the case, those who yearn to learn may want to sit down for this news. Crave is bringing out Spelling Challenge and More! to the PSP this summer for a paltry $19.99. Players will get prizes for the correct answers to over 25,000 words. It surely doesn't sound like a game for me. Unless the title "More!" involves running over hookers, I'm not sure I'll be giving Crave my green. [Via Gamespot]

Sure, you've trained your brain, but can you spell? Crave Entertainment wants to know ... or rather, Mr. Niceguy [sic] wants to know. That's the guy who will rake you over the coals if you pick up Spelling Challenges and More! this summer. The title promises 25,000 words and 100 difficulty levels for a fine-tuned word game experience. If you do well, Mr. Niceguy gives you cash and prizes. We wonder what he'll do when we fail. It's inevitable, after all.Director of brand marketing for Crave Entertainment Doug Panter said, "Movies like Akeelah and the Bee, Bee Season, and Spellbound have made spelling bees and word games hot." Oh really? Well, for only $19.99, we may give it a shot.

The washable-crayon-stylus hybrid thing seen here may still be a dream in our somewhat odd fanboy minds, but it is true that Crayola is bringing its unique brand of waxy, brittle pigment to the DS in electronic form. The company has made an agreement with publisher Crave to release a Crayola-themed DS game.Apparently, the game will be a minigame collection, with all of the minigames involving drawing and coloring with a wide selection of Crayola crayons. We're excited about this if only for the possibility that we may get to color a dinosaur. And because this way we won't lose 33 of our 64 colors within a week.

  • Confirmed: Crave to bring Dave Mirra to the Wii

Looks like the rumor is true: Dave Mirra is going to be hitting the Wii in a new game titled Dave Mirra BMX Challenge. Featuring 12 different environments and 13 different bikes, the latest installment in the Dave Mirra franchise is going to hit retail at the beginning of summer during the month of June. What's appealing about this release, however, is the $29.99 price tag. Yup, you read that right: $29.99 USD. With such a low price point, the game is definitely going to raise a few eyebrows at retail, perhaps some that wouldn't normally give a BMX title the time of day (even with the horrible review scores the PSP version of the game received). Hopefully, Crave will come up with some interesting gesture-based controls for the game. So, is the price point low enough to get you interested in what Dave Mirra is offering?

  • THQ sees future in UFC license

THQ has reached a deal with Ultimate Fighting Championship to secure the video game rights to the mixed martial arts brand through 2011. Both Crave Entertainment and TDK Mediactive have published UFC titles in the past (all of those games received mixed to poor reviews). The agreement will span all console and portable systems, in addition to the PC platform and certain mobile content. The UFC partnership comes amidst a deteriorating relationship with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which sued THQ back in October 2004, alleging bribes were used to obtain the wrastlin' organization's license, and then sued the publisher again this past October, accusing THQ of improper sales in Asia.

Crave has been doing card games for awhile now, so it comes as no surprise that they have a new game in the works for the PSP. With a very reasonable budget price, World Championship Cards is not just limited to Poker and features 30 different varieties of classic card games including Bridge, Gin Rummy, Solitaire, Cribbage, Hearts, Spades, and Crazy 8's. The game will feature 8 player wireless ad hoc multiplayer gameplay with no word on whether players will be able to take the game online in infrastructure mode. No word on release, however the game will be on the cheap for only $19.99 US.
