Blade 9 closed beta starts September 9
Are you looking for a new MMO? Blade 9 could be the one. Or it could be utter crap, who can say at this point. Either way, social gamemaker GBE is launching a closed beta of the free-to-play fantasy title on September 9th. GBE says that Blade 9 is an MMORPG with "no fixed classes" and "insanely powerful" ruin weapons that drop randomly and offer all players a chance to wield them. We've embedded the firm's full press release after the cut alongside a preview trailer, in case you're curious. [Source: GBE Games press release]
The next chapter of The Aurora World launches with in-game events
Not one to dilly-dally around (it moved The Aurora World from closed to open beta in less than a month, after all), GBE Games launched the next chapter of the free-to-play fantasy game today. This content update includes a level cap increase to 70, new areas, upgraded servers, and Nation War PvP. To celebrate the release of this next chapter, The Aurora World is kicking off two events. In the first, aptly dubbed The Leveling King, the first 10 players who reach level 70 from each nation will receive both a special title and a legendary dragon costume. Not one of those first 10? That's where the second event comes in: All players who obtain five level 60 purple armors and enhance them to +6 will get an exclusive level 70 unicorn Majinn. Interested players can jump in and enjoy the new content now. [Source: GBE Games press release]
The Aurora World hits open beta next week
It's barely been in closed beta for a month, but The Aurora World waits for no gamer! GBE Games announced that the fantasy MMO will be transitioning into open beta next Thursday the 28th. To garner excitement and encourage participation, GBE has set up a referral program and is handing out rewards to players who hit level 25 in the beta. The latter set will also be entered into a drawing for "amazing" in-game items. Check out the video pitch for The Aurora World after the jump. [Source: GBE Games press release]
The Aurora World is now in closed beta
Is it a slow news day, or is The Aurora World just that awesome? You decide! What we can tell you for certain is that the Asian fantasy import is in closed beta as of right now. You can get a free key at the game's official website, where you'll also learn more about the 300-player Nation Wars system, the hybrid pet/mount mechanics, and something called a "coliseum mode." You might also want to have a look at one of the game's trailers after the cut. [Source: GBE Games press release]
